Talking So Others Will Listen

Developing Influencing Skills

You don’t have to have a formal leadership or management role to benefit from working on your influencing skills. Influential communicators are seen as assets in any team, can encourage engagement and creative problem-solving and tend to report higher levels of personal and job satisfaction. This course really helps build confidence and give participants an insight into how others see them. From this point, everyone has the opportunity to play to their strengths and try new techniques and approaches to minimise areas of weakness. This workshop includes:

  • Building rapport and credibility
  • Recognising the importance of listening and observing in developing relationships
  • Understanding the difference between influencing and manipulating
  • Communicating in a way that meets the needs of both sides
  • Adapting tone, content and body language to build trust and credibility
