Taming Powerpoint:

Developing visual aids that really help your presentation

PowerPoint, like email, was a fabulous invention until the corporate world got hold of it! Used well, visual aids can be a powerful support tool, anchoring an audience’s attention and clarifying difficult concepts or statistics. Who was that who said, “A picture is worth a thousand words”? Whoever he was didn’t mean adding those thousand words to the slides! This course is often a useful addition to the presentation skills workshop, as it focuses on:

  • Seeing the slides from the audience’s perspective
  • Recognising that less is more
  • Experiencing how we retain and remember key information
  • Developing techniques to convert text into meaningful images
  • Learning how and when to introduce visuals during a presentation or meeting
